Cultural education gives a big impact to kids’ minds. Many people might not know but cultural education has three subjects tied into it: geography, general knowledge, and the basic knowledge of cultures.. Cultural education is helpful to tests because don’t have to study much because students can take cultural education classes as study hall.
The main reason for cultural education is to make new friends. Friends can help you and you can help them. You can communicate in the language of your friend and they can communicate with you. Also if you are from a different country you can communicate in your language and talk to your relatives and learn about your country. Cultural education helps you communicate which helps develop relationships, that will help you throughout your life.
“Not having cultural literacy, such as knowledge about key historical events, may cost young people some loss of respect in professional circles after they leave the world of school and enter the world of work, ” suggests Mark Bauerlein
On the other hand cultural education can take time away from the core studies and will disrupt time for other activities. Kids can get confused thinking which subject will be next.
But when you compare the positives and negatives for teaching cultural education, the positives easily outweighs the negatives because you don’t have to learn geography because cultural education is basically geography, reading, writing, etc.I can conclude that cultural education should be part of public school curriculum!!!
